Various Projects

Here is a small showcase of some of my various work, largely containing small project sprints, work outside of class, and other areas of my hobbies and interests.

Crawler-bot

This project was part of a week-long design sprint surrounding design for the differently abled.

The idea behind this device is that it combines a cleaning assistance device with a checkup device in order to help people of older age or with different abilities who may need assistance.

While the device is cleaning it can receive important notifications such as reminders and messages from family and people who are checking in, when it does receive these it would locate the user and gain their attention to providing its assistance. Ways of gaining attention include a noise alert, a vibration into the ground, or even bumping into the user. The device is also to be able to be called to the user in case of an emergency, where the user can utilize the screen to contact emergency authorities or whoever else may be needed.

Layered Lamp

This project was an exploration into transformations, lighting, and the utilization of positive and negative space. This was a short project in my freshman year where my classmates and I were tasked to create a lamp structure that allowed light to illuminate the entire body via a path in the middle of the lamp. In order to create the device I used layers of posterboard, wooden dowels, clear PVC tubing, and a flashlight. This was a very enjoyable project and I hope to return to this someday to make other designs as a fun side project.

Slider-Wall

A collaborative project with the Interior Design students of Arizona State University. This project was largely a research project surrounding the livability of shipping container housing structures for the homeless that transformed into a project ideating and designing a solution to improve the living conditions inside these structures, the design portion of this project lasted about 2 weeks, and research lasted about 4.

The idea that I presented was a slider wall that could be adjusted on either side, this could be utilized for extra storage, compactibility, and as a divider in the cases of shared spaces for the purpose of extra privacy.
